Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Central Office Equipment Installer to install, upgrade, and maintain telecommunications equipment in central offices, data centers, and network hubs. The ideal candidate has experience with DC power systems, fiber/copper cabling, and rack-and-stack installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure telecom equipment including routers, switches, servers, and power systems.
- Perform fiber and copper cable routing, termination, and testing.
- Follow installation specifications, schematics, and industry standards.
- Complete site audits, documentation, and closeout packages.
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience installing central office or telecom equipment.
- Familiarity with DC power systems, cabling standards, and telecom hardware.
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in teams.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
