Tower Technicians

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tower Technician to join our team. The Tower Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications towers, antenna systems, and related equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of tower climbing, equipment handling, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and physically fit, with a passion for working in the telecommunications field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tower Installation: Install and configure telecommunications equipment, including antennas, cables, and dishes, on towers.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of tower equipment and systems, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Climbing and Rigging: Safely climb towers and work at heights to install, maintain, and repair equipment using appropriate safety gear and techniques.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues on towers, including signal problems, equipment malfunctions, and power failures.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures, including fall protection, harnessing, and equipment handling. Ensure work sites are safe for team members and others.
• Documentation: Complete detailed reports on installations, repairs, inspections, and any maintenance activities performed. Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, engineers, and clients to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs and troubleshooting, responding promptly to critical issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical certification in telecommunications or related field is a plus).
• Proven experience as a tower technician or in a similar role, including hands-on experience with tower climbing and antenna installation.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications equipment, RF systems, and tower rigging techniques.
• Ability to work at heights, perform physically demanding tasks, and lift heavy equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Certification in tower climbing and safety (e.g., OSHA, RF Safety) is highly desirable.
